a new boss arrived in Jan, removing some of the burden globus carried last year, and consequently removing the whole not-sleeping-due-to-stressing-about-work thing. globus is now working on fewer tasks, feels less like a hamster on a work-wheel, and professional life is greatly improved.

finally the banks began to offer 0% interest free credit cards again, so globus managed to a) get a windfall and b) move the rest of his debt onto interest free and actually begin to pay it off.

the legendary V6 golf globus drove, with its 165k miles on the clock, finally gave up the ghost. a newer, shinier and much less dog-eared version replaced it, and globus delights in roaring through his local village at 6,500 rpm to give the people in the bus queue something to tut about.
sleep
globus has begun to cast aside his sleep-deprived, vampiresque palour. the children began to sleep a few nights in a row without waking up. in fact we're on a roll...in the past fortnight half of the nights have actually been uninterrupted at all. result!
totty
overall a less exciting year than last, but the good news is that the quality over quantity argument is a compelling one. and there's truth in the fact that as you get older, the sex becomes better. that's basically because you end up shagging people who know their own mind better and have much more of a clue about what buttons to press.
